National Guard job posting campaign

Words: Steven AdamsThe national campaign to post jobs for National Guard members is growing but more employers need to get involved to make this a success.

Nearly 500 employers have registered to post but state National Guard employment counselors across the country have thousands of Guard members waiting for matches - 2,000 just in California alone. State employment teams are asking for more job postings to fill!

Will you help by spreading the word to employers about the campaign? There are no fees of any kind to employers or to National Guard job seekers. But, there is lots of one-on-one help in every state for employers and candidates.

We have a blog at www.AmericanJobsForAmericasHeroes.blogspot.com. On the blog, we'll be sharing news, highlighting our supporters, and celebrating campaign success stories. And we want you to share your own experiences as a guest blogger! A guest blog topic might be your story about hiring a member of the National Guard or a veteran. If you're interested in sharing your experiences, please e-mail your blog entry to Caitlin Andrews at caitlin.andrews@policyres.com.
