Project Description
Saint Martin's Episcopal Church is a parish church in high Gothic style, integrating modern mechanical, electrical and amplified sound systems.
850,000 bricks, uniform in color were used and delivered over a 3-year period. 180 self-supporting brick arches with compound patterns, corbelling, and basket-weave patterns in two colors and cast stone frontispiece between the two towers installed 90 feet up and made in 56 pieces, the largest weighing 1,200 pounds, were also used in this project.
Overall, the scale, complexity, and richness in detail was achievable on schedule only by the extreme sense of cooperation, ownership and team building that all contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants displayed throughout the entire project.
