Project Description

This medieval-styled residence employs stone and brick to reflect the period vernacular. One turret contains the master bath with its unique shower: an 11-ft. tall stone waterfall topped by a 600-pound headstone. Another turret rises three stories as an observation tower, providing a breath-taking view of the Missouri River Valley below.

Scaffolding these turrets with their tight curvatures was extremely difficult; a commercial unit had to be brought in. Crafting the brick rowlock surrounds of the turret windows was also tedious, as the jumbo brick arches curve in and out as well as up and down.
