Project Description
Crowe Hall is an addition to the Kresge Centennial Hall that together form the heart of Northwestern University's Humanities Faculty. The four-story 40,000 sf. addition facilitates teaching and research offices, departmental offices, seminar rooms and a café.
The construction of the addition uses traditional materials in a contemporary composition that is sympathetic to the original construction. Lannon stone is used as the primary exterior wall material and is similar in scale, texture and color to the existing stone. Smooth Indiana limestone is used for various details including perimeter banding, soffits, sills, lintels and copings.
