Project Description

The City Academy is an $11-million private elementary school, whose lenient tuition policies give area low-income families access to quality non-parochial education.

The building's redbrick veneer is warm and welcoming while various architectural details are in the neighborhood school tradition.

Load-bearing masonry sped up both exterior and interior construction. As a result, students and staff will enjoy an attractive, cost-efficient environment over the long life of the building.

Bright and airy, the City Academy combines the benefits of masonry construction, creative design and progressive school administration to create what is being called a "model for innovation in urban education."
