[ALGONQUIN, IL, February 2021] — The masonry industry’s first-of-its-kind in-person and streaming educational event, MASONRY STRONG LIVE, is a hit. Filming occurred at the scenic South Seas Island Resort in Captiva, Florida, during the Mason Contractors Association of America’s Annual Meeting in early February. The event’s success will continue to shape the direction of future MCAA content.

“We wanted to do something that has never been done before to leverage our extensive reach on social media. We are quite surprised with the results, to say the least. This will not be the last MASONRY STRONG LIVE, and we’ve learned how to make future versions even better,” said Jeff Buczkiewicz, MCAA President and CEO who also served as emcee of the event.

Masonry “tip” segments and live audience interaction were interspersed with short educational segments from industry suppliers CrewTracks, EZG Manufacturing, GE Silicones, and Masonry Cosmetics.

Over 1,600 people registered in advance for the live Facebook event, and 1,300 people tuned in across Facebook and YouTube. An additional 55,000 views occurred in the seven days following the event. Promotion to mason contractors and field employees occurred through MCAA channels including: newsletters, social media, and MASONRY Magazine. Over 230,000 people within the masonry industry were reached by over 485,000 promotional impressions.
