New Editor named at Masonry Magazine
Karen D. Hickey appointed as Editor

Masonry magazine has appointed Karen D. Hickey as Editor, effective January 29, 2016, taking the place of Jennifer Morrell, who served as Editor of the publication for more than eight years.
Ms. Hickey earned a B.A. degree in English and Secondary Education in 1996 from Grove City College, Grove City, Pa. At GCC, she was Editor of the Bridge, the college yearbook, during her junior and senior years. She began her career in publishing as Marketing Editor for Whitaker House, a book publisher in New Kensington, Pa. In 2002, Karen began working for the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers (AISE) as Editorial Coordinator for AISE Steel Technology magazine. After AISE merged with the Iron & Steel Society in January 2004 to become the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), Karen held increasingly responsible positions with AIST, most recently serving as Managing Editor, Iron & Steel Technology/Publications.
The team at Masonry Magazine welcomes Ms. Hickey to her new position and wishes her much success.
