United Rentals announces partnership with 3VR CrimeDEX
Membership in CrimeDex and the ERIG is free

United Rentals has partnered with 3VR CrimeDex to establish a platform for sharing security information industry-wide. This platform is open to all companies, large and small, across the equipment rental industry.
Its’ goal is to get all rental industry corporate security professionals and other stakeholders to participate in the information sharing group called ERIG, or Equipment Rental Industry Group.
Group members post important security information to the message board, and it is instantly emailed to all other members in the ERIG. The emails will alert group members of fraudulent rentals, thefts, scams and other criminal activity targeting the Equipment Rental Industry. By rapidly sharing information of this kind the industry can lessen the likelihood of loss to these type activities.
