Waldo Bros. Company’s Roof Collapses

Words: Brenda ColganOn Tuesday, February 8th, the Waldo Bros. Company branch office located at 595 Nutmeg Road North, South Windsor, CT suffered a complete roof collapse from the heavy weight of accumulated snow, ice and water. Luckily, all of our employees managed to make it out of the building and escape any injury. We are very thankful for their safety.

Our ability to fully service our customers from this location is suspended until further notice. The roof collapse has impacted our warehouse operations, as most of our products and operating equipment were in the building, at the time of the collapse. The inventory, which has not been impacted by the collapse, is being moved to a temporary location. We are currently finalizing more permanent warehouse and showroom space, so that we may quickly stock and re-open; a fully serviceable branch office in the same general area.

Our goal is to have our South Windsor, CT branch relocated and operational by the middle of next week. When we finalize our location, we will try to communicate this information as quickly as possible via email with your help. We would appreciate your assistance by sending us an email to: sales@waldobros.com. In the email, please include a contact name, telephone number and email address of the person, or persons within your company we can notify, and who will forward this information to all those necessary.

In the meantime, your telephone calls to our South Windsor office (860-289-9500) are being re-routed to our Boston office (617-445-3000) where our salespeople are prepared to fulfill material orders, quote, schedule deliveries, and answer any questions you may have. All telephone numbers listed above and below are operational. Our South Windsor, CT employees will be available by cell phone to answer any additional questions or concerns, which you may have during this transition.

Hopefully, our temporary situation will be transparent to you and your company. If not, thank you for your patience and understanding. Additionally, we are grateful to many of you for the telephone calls of concern, support and assistance. Waldo Bros. Company has successfully serviced the construction community since 1869 through difficult economic times and industry changes. This is just a larger frost heave than usual, but it too shall melt.
