Acme Brick Company has named Katie Hitt Deaton its director of marketing, effective July 1, 2026. The Fort Worth, Texas, company said Deaton will lead marketing strategy and execution for the Acme Brick corporate brand and more than 50 sales and manufacturing locations.
Deaton joined Acme Brick in August 2024 to lead social media. The company said she expanded its digital presence and strengthened brand storytelling across channels. In her new role, she will oversee integrated marketing strategy, content and communications, creative production, and performance efforts, while working closely with Acme’s sales and operations teams to support customers and business growth.
In a trade that still runs on relationships and reputation, that marketing and operations link matters for brick work.
Deaton pointed to Acme’s 135-year legacy and said she’s focused on telling that story with clarity, while positioning the company for what’s next. She becomes only Acme’s fourth director of marketing in the past 48 years.
Before joining Acme Brick, Deaton served as managing director at the Dallas Architecture and Design Exchange. She also spent 10 years at AIA Dallas as director of communications and government relations, where she led communications, public relations, advocacy, and awards, and served as managing editor of the chapter magazine.
Her industry service includes serving as chair of the Texas Brick Council and leadership roles tied to K-12 outreach and design education.
Acme Brick has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. since 2000.
