Aggregate Industries US was recognized for occupational safety standards.
Aggregate Industries US, a Holcim Group company, says several locations of Aggregate Industries US, Midwest Region (AIMWR) have been recognized by the Safety Awards Program of the Illinois Association for Aggregate Producers (IAAP). The awards were presented during IAAP’s Annual Convention in May.

The IAAP Rock Solid Safety in Excellence Award, the highest award level, went to 11 locations: Portable AC2, Portable AC3, Portable NB1, Algonquin Pit 5, Battle Creek Plant, Chelsea Plant, Dyer Lake Pit 34, Edwardsburg/Milliken Plant, Otsego Shop, Pullman/Sweet Plant, Wayland Plant. Two more locations, Dundee Quarry and McHenry West Pit 26, received the IAAP Silver Award.

The IAAP Safety Committee’s Rock Solid Safety Award Program publicly recognizes members who set high safety and health standards in the conduct of their operations. This form of recognition serves to reward companies that implement sound safety and health programs, while encouraging other mine operators and service providers to use recognized systems and methods to prevent injuries or illnesses.
