Of 358,000 National Guard Members, 60,000 or more are unemployed now.
American Jobs for America’s Heroes is a nonprofit alliance to help unemployed National Guard members, veterans and spouses find skilled jobs in the private sector.

Job posting is free and easy!

The National Guard job bank website, operated by Corporate America Supports You (CASY) and Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN) under an agreement with the National Guard, is the largest private sector job website dedicated for military personnel.

Once you register on the website, you will receive a posting form for each open job you have. Email your postings back and they will be posted for you.

MSCCN helps employers find matches

CASY-MSCCN will work directly with your company to identify applicants whose training, education, and skills are a match for your open employment positions.

CASY-MSCCN will help you understand how the applicant’s military training is relevant to the skills you need in the workplace. Qualified applicants are pre-screened and then directed to your company to apply. CASY-MSCCN will follow up with your company to ensure that your employment needs are met.

Then, you contact each applicant with whom you want to talk. MSCCN will continue to provide selected resumes until you fill your open positions.

Applicants for you all over the U.S.

There are National Guard units in all 54 states and U.S. territories. Of 358,000 Members, 60,000 or more are unemployed now. When units come home from Afganistan and Iraq in 2012, this is likely to increase to 100,000.

National Guard trains in 107 categories

Only one in four applicants are accepted into the National Guard. Members train continously in programs provided in 107 categories, from leadership and logistics to electronics operation and maintenance. They demonstrate a readiness for learning, responsibility for good teamwork and reliability, and understand how to perform in a disciplined organization.

The families of our National Guard members are at stake!

The increase in homeless Members and veterans with families is testament to this fact. The implementation of an expanded employment program is of critical importance to National Guard families.
