MCAA's South of 40 is an exciting new group that will actively shape the future of the MCAA and the masonry industry.

We are pleased to unveil the new South of 40 Committee. The question was asked: How do we as an organization engage the young professionals (and those young at heart!) in our industry to become more involved so that they can all truly benefit from MCAA? The answer: MCAA South of 40.

This exciting new group has been created to target a new network of energetic individuals from our industry that will have the opportunity to get together to meet, build friendships and empower each other to actively shape the future of the MCAA and the masonry industry. Everyone has a talent to share and the entire group stands to benefit from it. So let’s bring those talents, those skills and knowledge to the S40 group and have some fun at the same time!

The Vision:
  • To encourage our young people to become involved and thus sustain a culture of relationship-building among the MCAA, fellow businesses and other charitable organizations.

  • To grow the association through the involvement of our future leaders.
It will cost you/your company $0 to participate! Our primary responsibility will be to plan and host an annual fund raising event. The contributions generated from this event will be donated to a cause or event of choice by the members in South of 40 group. So you’ll be contributing your time and efforts to make this event a success and also help decide on where the donations should be allocated.

The South of 40 will be meeting at different points throughout the year. We’re planning on having two “in-person” gatherings — one at the annual Convention and one perhaps at the Mid-year meeting. The rest of our meetings will be held via conference calls.

Please make plans to attend the informational meeting and gathering at the 2010 World of Concrete/MCAA Convention in Las Vegas:
Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010
11:00am — 1:00pm
Room #S230 of the Las Vegas Convention Center
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

If you or someone in your company would like to be part of this exciting new group, or you have any questions, please contact the MCAA office at 800-536-2225.

As always, we appreciate your leadership and continued support.
