BIA Revises, Updates Technical Notes

Words: Brickcraft N/A LastThe Brick Industry Association (BIA) is updating its entire 96-volume series of "code-proofed" Technical Notes on Brick Construction, the industry's most authoritative guide. The BIA is providing a comprehensive review to ensure that all materials are applicable to current standards, as well as to make them more user-friendly and visually appealing.

A dependable reference tool used for more than 45 years by architects, engineers, mason contractors and other building industry professionals, the BIA Technical Notes feature design, detailing and construction information that emphasizes "best practices" and reflects the most up-to-date developments in brick masonry.

"It is the primary mission of BIA to offer the building and construction industry the most relevant and timely technical information on the proper application and use of brick," said Dick Jennison, president and chief executive of the organization.
