The Minnesota Concrete and Masonry Contractors Association (MC&MCA) held its annual convention and election of officers this past March. Barry Blazevic of ADB Construction and chair of the nomination committee announced the 2006-2007 officers and board of directors election results as follows:

President:
Bill Dentinger III, B&D Associates Inc.

President-elect:
Frank Grazzini, Carciofini Caulking

Secretary:
Jack Tucci, Construction Midwest Inc.

Treasurer:
Todd Frantz, Donald R. Frantz Concrete Construction Inc.

Directors:
Paul Hatrick, Cemstone Products Company; Matt Hayes, Tailored Foam; John Hoadley, American Artstone; Pat McEvoy, Knutson Construction; Sean Spraungel, Spraungel Concrete & Masonry; and Karen Stanley, Stellar Concrete & Masonry.

These individuals will team with the board members remaining from last year's term. They are: James Ericson, Kraus-Anderson Construction; Michael Hommer, PCL Construction; Dana Pugh, County Materials; Jim Turritto, Bulach/Custom Rock; and David Wells, Aggregate Industries.

Past President James Ericson and his board made great strides during his term to continue to move the association forward. During his term, MC&MCA continued to grow its membership to the out-state areas, advanced a masonry flashing training program, and welcomed efforts to work more closely with the Minnesota producers group (MCMA) on efforts that will enhance MC&MCA's market share.

When asked for his thoughts on the upcoming year for MC&MCA, newly elected President Bill Dentinger offered, "I've got some big shoes to fill after James, but the board is made up of really talented and aggressive people. I have no doubt we will keep things moving forward."

Once again, the MC&MCA looks forward to another successful year. For more information about the MC&MCA, please visit www.mcmca.com.
