MK Diamond Products, Inc. has acquired the Sawtec brand.
MK Diamond Products, Inc. announced that it has acquired the Sawtec brand from Blastrac NA. The Sawtec brand provides contractors with a range of dust-free tools and grinding accessories for surface preparation and concrete repair. Sawtec will be marketed as a sub-brand of MK Diamond which will preserve its successful reputation and brand identity within the construction industry.

The acquisition combines one of the oldest family owned leaders of cutting tools with a new line of products for surface preparation.

This acquisition provides MK Diamond with a new line of products and marketing opportunities," commented Brian Delahaut, Vice President, MK Diamond Products, Inc.

"MK Diamond and Blastrac's management have been in discussions for quite some time on this acquisition. The acquisition of Sawtec by MK Diamond will allow Blastrac to focus on its core resurfacing products and customers needs," states Stephen Klugherz, Global Vice President.

The Sawtec product line will include surface preparation equipment, dust-free tools for cutting and widening joints, grinding accessories and shrouds. These products are designed for contractors, public works departments, rental companies and other cutting/demolition professionals.
