On the heels of the MCAA joining the White House's AI In Education Task Force, the Association's GEORGE AI completed its first year in a public, open beta. From its inception nearly four years ago, GEORGE had a singular mission to make masonry professionals more efficient, safe, and profitable than ever.

After a year in the field, the results are in. With 36 million tokens, or around 300 novels worth of content being processed through the system per month, GEORGE is leaving its mark.

"GEORGE has left its mark quickly because from the beginning we listened to the industry. We constantly iterate the system and assistants to provide exactly what's going to make an impact for businesses around the country. We have four years of data constantly improving the system. I look forward to showing off what we have coming next," said the MCAA's Director of Technology, Jason Blake.

Unlike public AI that scrapes the open internet, GEORGE's intelligence is locked down. It is a purpose-built system, trained exclusively on the MCAA's proprietary library of technical documents, safety manuals, and industry best practices. Other masonry industry sources are not used without express, written consent from the respective organizations. When members get an answer from GEORGE, they know it's backed by verified, defensible data.

"This is the evolution of our role within the industry. Masonry businesses of all sizes have accepted GEORGE into their workflows, and we are actively responding to requests and suggestions as quickly as our team can work. The more it develops, the more our technology platform will be indispensable for mason contractors of all sizes," said Dan Kamys, MCAA's Director of Content.

In one recent case, a contractor arrived on-site to find a new trench dug directly in front of his scaffolding, making it completely inaccessible. Facing a costly delay, he used GEORGE to instantly calculate the productivity loss. The AI cited the MCAA's 300-page doctoral thesis on productivity, providing the contractor with the specific, authoritative data he needed to get the issue corrected with the GC within 24 hours.

We invite you to experience the power of GEORGE firsthand at the World of Concrete 2026 in Las Vegas. We are hosting The AI Test Drive: Interactive Education + Reception on Tuesday, January 20th, from 1-4 PM.

Space is limited. Register for this event and for World of Concrete today at worldofconcrete.com.
