United Way of Genesee County accepted the donation at a special town hall meeting attended by all employees of the Auburn Hills Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems headquarters. General Manager of Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems Anders Hoberg said, “Atlas Copco is a global company, including our divisions which have 640 employees in North America. We feel it is important to invest in local needs as well as the global commitment.”

Through voluntary employee donations, which are doubled by the company, Atlas Copco has provided millions of gallons of clean drinking water. Many of Water for All’s projects involve new well development.

Hoberg said, “We believe clean water is a human right and feel proud when we can make a small contribution in line with our belief. We are committed to our customers and their families in the region, and we will continue to invest in local needs.”
