Masonry Advisory Council Continuing Education Breakfast

Words: Joe AkerThe Masonry Advisory Council is hosting its next Continuing Education Breakfast on Aug. 14 at Maggiano’s Oak Brook from 7:30-11:30 AM. This is a great opportunity for architects, engineers, contractors, building officials and other industry professionals to earn 2.5 AIA CEU credits!

Presentations include:

Detailing Masonry Veneers to Avoid Water Penetration and Cracks
Learn to design a drainage wall system, what causes movement, how much movement to expect, how to control movement, and where to place movement joints.

Internally Braced Masonry Walls
Contractors, engineers and architects will all benefit from this presentation about the benefits of reinforcement in masonry walls used to brace against wind loads for partially constructed walls.
