RMMI announces Masterworks in Masonry competition 2013

Words: Nancy AleshireAfter a 3-year hiatus, the long awaited Masterworks in Masonry competition is back.

The Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute invites you to enter your best masonry projects completed between Jan. 2011 and Nov. 2013.

The project categories are:
  • Historic Preservation
  • Government
  • Education
  • Commercial
  • Multi-Family/Residential
  • Non-Building (Pavers, retaining walls, sound walls)

Anyone on the design/build team can enter — the architect, engineer, GC, mason, manufacturer, supplier. The entry fee is $100 per entry, but the total entry fee per company is capped at $400 regardless of how many entries you submit.

Winning entries will be published in a 2014 Masterworks of Masonry Calendar, so your submissions must include two to three professional photographs of your project (300 dpi or better, for 8”x10” print) with a copyright release from the photographer. First place winners will receive a bound book of the winning Masterworks in Masonry photographs. First, Second and Third place winners will receive calendars and plaques.
