Words: Kevin AdamsApex Companies, LLC — a leading national energy, water resources and environmental consulting and engineering firm — has named Matthew Otto Division Manager of its Chicago, IL office.

A results-oriented professional with more than 15 years of environmental consulting experience, Otto’s primary focus will be facilitating Apex’s business growth and employee development in the region.

“Matthew has a strong history of client development in Chicago and is also well networked with several national clients,” says Robert Brackett, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Apex. “His familiarity in developing staff and facilities, as well as managing operations across various business lines will be invaluable to our Midwest team.”

To date Otto has performed and managed due diligence projects in more than 40 states. Otto was previously a Department Manager for Terracon in Chicago. He received an MBA from Mercer University and is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).

The company’s prominent M&A efforts have expanded the company’s presence in Texas and various west coast markets, as well as enhanced oil and gas, and water related services throughout the country.

Recently named a Top 200 Environmental Firm and Top 500 Design Firm by Engineering News-Record Magazine (ENR Magazine), Apex is a portfolio company of Tailwind Capital, a private equity firm focused on investing in growth-oriented middle market companies.
