Here's MCAA'S
New Safety Hat
Program

The MCAA Accident Prevention Committee, under the direction of Peter Baier, is pleased to announce that in cooperation with the Mine Safety Appliance Company, Pittsburgh, Pa., a comprehensive program for the purchase of head protection equipment is now available.


Here Is The Program
Style, comfort and economy have been combined with rigid, high-density polyethylene in a line of safety hats and maps produced by the Mine Safety Appliance Co. The new V-Gard hats and caps are specially designed for construction use. The Vi-Gard passes impact and penetration test in Federal Specification GGG-H-142C and dielectric requirements of EEI Specifications dated April 1, 1961. Highlighting design features of the head protection is the patented four-point, fixed-crown suspension. This provides a double cradle for maximum protection with adjustable support. Critical crown clearance is virtually tamper proof through the fixed upper cradle, while the lower cradle can be adjusted to the wearer's comfort.
