Cottrell named head of BASF Admixture Systems

Gabriel Cottrell has replaced Mike Shydlowski as the head of the Admixture Systems business of BASF Construction Chemicals in North America. Shydlowski will continue to serve as an executive consultant to BASF Construction Chemicals, working on special projects.

Cottrell is a veteran of the organization he will now lead. He joined Master Builders in 1978 as a sales representative in the Caribbean region. He served in a progression of international sales management assignments, including a four-year assignment as vice president for Master Builders' Latin American branch, before accepting his most recent role as president of the Latin American business line and member of the Executive Committee of Degussa Construction Chemicals, Inc.
