Construction continues at the Constitution Bank Aquatics Center in Hillsboro, where crews have spent recent weeks focused on the kind of groundwork that sets the pace for everything that follows. Work has included underground utilities, rebar installation, and concrete pouring in the main pool area.
Project Engineer Tabor Kozuszek of Capri Pools and Aquatics said the next steps include masonry and footing work around the zero-entry pool area. That transition matters for more than schedule. It is where layout, elevations, and embedded items have to line up before walls and structures start rising.
With blocks expected to arrive next week, the concession stand and bathroom areas are set to begin vertical construction. For mason contractors and crews, this is the point in a project where deliveries, staging space, and access can make or break production. Getting CMU placed efficiently depends on clear paths for forklifts, room to stock materials safely, and coordination with other trades still working nearby.
The project is also preparing for the next big vertical element. Around Aug. 31, the 20-foot-tall slide structure is planned to move into its vertical construction phase as well.
Once the main pool area is complete, Capri Pools and Aquatics plans to begin construction of the splash pad area.
