Kodumur Workshop Puts Skills Training For Masons Front And Center

A one-day skills and technical awareness program in Kodumur, in India’s Kurnool district, put the spotlight on a topic that matters on every project: the quality of the work in the field.

Sagar Cement, working with Madhu Marketing, hosted the session at the Yeddula Narayana Reddy Complex and drew a large turnout of construction professionals, including contractors and tradespeople from across the region. Alongside masons, the audience included bar benders and centering workers, a reminder that durable construction depends on multiple crews working to the same standard.

During the program, Sagar Cement Technical Officer Srikanth spoke about “scientific construction practices,” including proper cement application, correct concrete mixing ratios, and effective curing techniques. He stressed that following standard engineering practices plays a key role in the strength, durability, and longevity of buildings and other civil structures.

For crews on the ground, the message is straightforward: don’t guess on mixes, follow the specified ratios, and take curing seriously. When the people placing concrete, tying steel, setting forms, and handling cement-based materials are aligned on basics like proportioning and curing, it supports better outcomes and fewer durability problems down the road.

Company representatives also used the gathering to thank local construction professionals for their support. Sagar Cement District Officer Hanumantha Reddy noted sales growth in the district, while distributor Yeddula Surya Reddy and Madhu Marketing Founder and Director Yeddula Maheswara Reddy emphasized the value of ongoing technical sessions and contractor relationships. The event wrapped up with an interactive technical discussion and closing remarks.
