2016 MCAA Region C Masonry Skills Competition

Words: Jeff GarnettThe Mason Contractors Association of America will be conducting the annual International Masonry Skills Challenge on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the World of Masonry at World of Concrete in Las Vegas, NV.

The contest is a showcase for skills training in the masonry industry, challenging winning apprentices from regional U.S. and foreign competitions to determine the top masonry apprentice at each level. The exciting competition spotlights our industry’s finest young masons and focuses attention on careers in the
masonry industry.

In order to be eligible to compete in the International competition, an apprentice must first have won a MCAA-sanctioned regional competition. OKADC & SOKRTC are hosting the Regional Masonry Skills Challenge to select the first, second, and third year apprentices to represent our region at the International Masonry Skills Challenge in 2017 in Las Vegas.

You are invited to submit apprentices to compete in our Regional Challenge
on September 17, 2016.

We look forward to a successful Regional Masonry Skills Challenge and to seeing your eligible apprentices compete in this exciting event. Your participation will help ensure our region is well represented in the International Competition.
