Words: Mason ContractorsLynn Vasquez, Secretary/Treasurer of MAV Masonry, Inc. and Executive Director of the Masonry Institute of Southern Illinois, was elected to the position of MCAA Region D Vice President during the MCAA Annual Meeting on February 4, 2016 during the MCAA Convention at the World of Concrete/World of Masonry in Las Vegas.

After graduating from Southwestern Illinois College and working as a legal secretary for four years, Lynn joined her husband, Mark, shortly after their marriage in 1988 in helping to manage the business he began--MAV Masonry, Inc. As Secretary/Treasurer she performs all the necessary day-to-day office duties including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.

In the last decade, she has observed this organization grow tremendously in participation. As the sole staff member, she is the liaison between trade organizations and union affiliations to the many union masonry contractors located in the southern one-third of Illinois. Lynn has strived not only to effectively promote masonry in Southern Illinois, but provide pertinent education and information to the masonry contractor and associate supplier members.

Lynn and her husband are the parents of two daughters in their mid-twenties.

The Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) and our members welcome Lynn to her new role.
