This presentation highlights the common wall systems used in current design, with examples of various cladding elements. The presentation also offers tips on how to properly maintain components of the wall claddings to avoid future water-related damages.

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
  • Identify and distinguish the water resistance characteristics between drainage walls and barrier walls
  • Understand how to components of each wall system operate and limitations, if any
  • Understand the anticipated life span of various components and materials
  • Recognize maintenance related issues and have capability to develop a maintenance action plan for the building
Mason contractors registered for Masonry Certification will receive 1.00 credit in the Codes and Standards discipline upon completion of this course.
