JLG® earns another gold

Words: Rob ThompsonJLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and a leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, today announced that the JLG® 1350SJP boom lift with SkyWelder® earned the gold medal in Roads & Bridges magazine’s 2012 Contractor’s Choice Award competition.

The 1350SJP boom lift with SkyWelder outscored products from all other manufacturers to earn the top ranking in this year’s aerial work platform category of the Contractor’s Choice Awards. Only professionals using the products and equipment can cast their votes for the best product in each category. The top three winners receive a gold, silver, or bronze award. In 2012, 113 different products were recognized in 40 categories.

“We’re always excited when our products receive an award,” said Tim Morris, senior vice president of sales, market development and customer support at JLG. “But it’s especially exciting to be selected as the best by those who depend on our products to complete their work efficiently. The recognition of this award demonstrates our commitment to providing reliable equipment that continues to meet the changing needs of our customers.”

The award-winning 1350SJP can enable operators to reach up to 135 feet in only 95 seconds. Strong, 100,000 psi steel and dual 1,000/500-pound capacity combine to provide a rigid platform that accommodates more workers, tools, or materials.
