ASTM Symposium on Lime

The objective of the ASTM Symposium on Lime is to use this milestone to not only reflect on the legacy of 100 years of dedicated work by Committee C07 on Lime and the impact of this work on the lime industry and related industries, but also to invite discussion on the need for new work and possible revisions of old as we move into the next century. Producers and users of lime in all of its forms (limestone, dolomite, quicklime, lime kiln dust, hydrate, slurries and putties) and applications, as well as other professionals involved in the development of specifications regarding lime, are asked to submit an abstract. Topics include: physical and chemical characterization, sustainability, flue gas treatment technology uses, water treatment applications, mine reclamation, building lime applications, soil stabilization, asphalt, steel and glass manufacturing.
