Smith Receives St. Louis Masonry Industry Scholarship

Words: Francine AbramoffThe Masonry Institute of St. Louis announced Danielle Smith was awarded the 2010-2011 St. Louis Masonry Industry Scholarship administered by the AIA, American Institute of Architects-St. Louis Chapter, for $2,000 on August 3, 2010.

Smith is starting her third year in the Kansas State University's 5-year architectural masters program. Danielle is the daughter of Mason Contractors Association of St. Louis member Ed Smith of John J. Smith Masonry Company.

The Masonry Institute sets aside monies for financial assistance to students separate from the masonry industry scholarship administered by AIA-St Louis. Miss Smith was the recipient of financial assistance from the Masonry Institute for the past two years.
