The North Carolina Masonry Contractors Association (NCMCA) installed new officers for the 2006-2008 term at the association's annual convention held in Myrtle Beach, S.C., at the end of April.

Pictured above, from left to right, are: Secretary/Treasurer Mike Rogers, Michael J. Rogers Masonry, Brevard, N.C.; President-elect Gary Manning, Manning Masonry, Williamston, N.C.; President Wayne Starr, Gates Construction Company, Mooresville, N.C.; and Immediate Past President/Chairman of the Board Danks Burton, Pinnacle Masonry, Cary, N.C. Not shown are: Eastern Regional Vice President Jimmy Simmons, Simmons Masonry, Fayetteville, N.C.; Central Regional Vice President Danny Bowman, Bowman Masonry Inc., Winston-Salem, N.C.; and Western Regional Vice President Larry Kirby, Kirby Construction Services, Conover, N.C.

Also, with a debut made possible in part by a $5,000 grant from Holcim (US) Inc., NCMCA rolled out its new Masonry Contractors Certification Program at the association's annual convention in April. NCMCA Certification is offered to association members and nonmembers alike as an opportunity for continuing education and professional development.
