Westlake Royal Building Products™
(Westlake Royal), a Westlake company (NYSE:WLK), is proud to announce that its Newpoint® Concrete Roof Tile and Eldorado Stone® brands were featured in multiple projects honored in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) The Nationals Awards.

The Nationals is one of the building industry's most prestigious awards programs, recognizing the best in new home sales, marketing and design. During a rigorous four-day judging process, the winners were selected from more than 1,200 entries by a panel of 13 industry experts. The awards were officially presented in early 2025 during a ceremony at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.

"We're delighted and proud to have Newpoint Concrete Roof Tiles and Eldorado Stone featured in these award-winning homes," said Eric Miller, vice president of sales for Westlake Royal Building Products' stone and roofing solutions brands. "These recognitions from NAHB underscore that exceptional building materials can marry durability and curb appeal to create homes that stand out in the marketplace.”

Westlake Royal building materials were featured in three award-winning projects by KTGY, a design firm specializing in architecture, branding, interiors and planning. These projects are located in the Shawood at Sommers Bend neighborhood in Temecula, California:

  • Gold Award for Detached Community of the Year: Shawood at Sommers Bend featuring Newpoint Concrete Saxony 900 Slate in the color Appalachian.

  • Gold Award for Best Single Family Detached Model Home (3,501 to 4,000 square feet): Shawood at Sommers Bend Kiri Plan 3 featuring Eldorado Stone European Ledge in the color Ironmill and Newpoint Concrete Saxony 900 Slate in the color Sepia.

  • Silver Award: Shawood at Sommers Bend Sakura Plan 7 featuring Newpoint Concrete Saxony 900 Slate in the color Ebony.
The award-winning projects showcase Westlake Royal's innovative building products, combining performance and durability with aesthetic appeal. Newpoint Concrete Roof Tile delivers superior strength with a multi-dimensional appearance, featuring a Class A Fire Rating and up to a Class 4 Hail Rating. Available in numerous profiles and colors, these tiles create a high-performance Cool Roof System when paired with Westlake Royal™ Roofing Components.

Eldorado Stone combines diverse textures and formats with excellent fire resistance to support a wide range of architectural styles. Handcrafted to mirror nature’s artistry, this architectural stone veneer offers a refined aesthetic that elevates both exteriors and interiors. With a Class A Fire Rating and non-combustible properties, Eldorado Stone enhances design and provides lasting protection in wildfire-prone regions, maintaining its integrity even under extreme conditions.
