This session is to help all users of scaffold plank to identify mandatory and non-mandatory requirements of all types of scaffold plank by outlining industry standards, best practices and detailed examples. The session also covers specific inspection processes for used scaffold plank along with an industry recommended action for each type of damage. All solid sawn, engineered wood, metal and composite planks and decks are covered in this presentation.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify all types of scaffold planks, platforms and decks used on scaffolding for masonry applications
  2. Recognize mandatory markings and applicable standards as set forth by OSHA
  3. Analyze detailed inspection processes for damaged scaffold planks and resolve field issues
  4. Identify industry best practices and resources for further insight and education
