MC&MCA Strong at AIA Convention

Words: Elena PeltsmanMC&MCA did it up big at the November 8-11 AIA Convention held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Marketing Director Elena Peltsman organized 14 MC&MCA members into a “focused” physical arrangement called “Masonry Street.” This effort allows architects and other attendees to “get into the masonry mindset” and visit with one or all of the masonry centered companies, displays, and product lines.

Good comments on the Masonry Street layout were received from attendees and exhibitors.

The “Masonry Street” sign (10x4) was “highly” visible and the only ceiling-hung sign allowed at the convention (other than the red AIA sign).

The MC&MCA booth was well supported by our members.

Special thanks to Doug Schroeder and the BAC-1 crew for organizing the “hands-on” display. It was a showstopper! Architects and attendees loved seeing the grout & block & brick come together.
