NCMCA Metrolina Chapter Recognition Night 2016

Words: Lynn NashAs has become tradition, the NCMCA Metrolina Chapter dedicated their August meeting to recognizing students, apprentices and masons from the Charlotte area who have enjoyed success at recent masonry competitions.

Pictured above, bottom, left to right, Kent Huntley, Huntley Brothers Company, accepted the “David R. Sigmon Award” traveling plaque for their firm’s apprentice win at the May “Samuel McGee Memorial Apprentice Skills Contest;” Jasnon Huntley, Huntley Brothers, and Hayden McGee, McGee Brothers, finished fourth and third respectively in the May McGee Memorial contest; Luis Marquez, Huntley Brothers, finished first and claimed the “David R. Sigmon Award” at the McGee Memorial contest; Lane Mullis and Chaz Tomberlin of McGee Brothers each won first place honors at the MCAA/World of Masonry 2016 International Apprentice Skills Contest.

The Metrolina Chapter presented each winner with a $100 check and hosted the honorees and their guests for dinner.
