Hunter to serve as PROSOCO preservation specialist

Words: Al MorrisPROSOCO announces the hire of Sarah Hunter as its new preservation specialist to serve the materials conservation and historic preservation industries.

Hunter will interface directly with customers and provide technical support for issues related to building materials, material degradation and product performance. She will also initiate training programs centered on the needs of the preservation community.

With a master of science in historic preservation and work experience in materials conservation, Hunter is a perfect fit for the role, said Brian Koenings, director of sales and marketing for PROSOCO.

“The materials conservation and preservation industry is what made PROSOCO more than 75 years ago, and we’re always striving to find ways to better serve our customers in these markets,” Koenings said. “Sarah’s background combined with her experience in customer service make her a valuable resource for our customers who are looking for the right product for their job, or simply have a question about a substrate or stain.”

“At PROSOCO we’re always here for our customers, and we’re excited that Sarah is now an additional resource in our arsenal to continue to make customers our top priority.”

Prior to joining PROSOCO, Hunter worked as the review and compliance coordinator for the Kansas State Historical Society in the Kansas State Historic Preservation Office. There, she worked with clients to provide technical assistance and treatment recommendations for historical projects.

Hunter is an active member of the Association for Preservation Technology International and serves on the Board of Directors for the group's Central Plains chapter.
