The NCMCA 2016 Convention at Hot Springs, Virginia

Words: Lynn NashThe 2016 NCMCA Convention is just a few weeks away! Take a few moments to complete the convention registration forms to ensure that you and your guests don’t miss the fellowship and fun this spring at The Omni Homestead Resort. Dates: Thursday April 28 to Sunday May 1, 2016.

Make your room reservations direct with The Homestead using the registration form or the hotel website. Hotel reservations and deposits are handled directly with the hotel and must be made before March 28, 2016 to ensure that you receive our special NCMCA convention room rates, subject to room block availability. Click here for on-line room reservations.

Fill out and return the NCMCA convention form to the NCMCA office. (Note: “ala carte” registration is not available in 2016.) Credit card payments are not accepted, however, members in good standing may request to be invoiced. (Spouse or guest attending as a member company representative should register at the “member/representative” rate.)

Golfers should complete the separate golf registration form and include it with their NCMCA convention registration along with golf fees included in the total registration fee. Play the Cascades Course on Friday and play the EZG Manufacturing golf tournament Saturday on the Old Course.

Celebrating our 42th year, the 2016 NCMCA Convention gets underway Thursday evening with an early-bird social featuring our own Donnie Howard entertaining once again. Friday morning, Adams, an Oldcastle company presents our education session, this year featuring a panel of some of the nation’s most influential masonry association executives on the topic of Brick, Block, and Mortar; A National Perspective. The Friday evening President’s Reception is an opportunity to meet old friends and to make new ones. Saturday morning is the Annual Business Meeting when we elect new officers for the 2016-2018 term. Your Convention features a special Saturday Spouse luncheon, hosted by NCMCA President Ashlee Moore and Denise Gates, wife of President-Elect Bob Gates. The Annual NCMCA Convention Golf Tournament, sponsored by EZG Manufacturing, is Saturday afternoon, featuring an EZG Mud Hog MH-9 Mixer hole-in-one-prize valued at $5,295. Saturday evening, President Ashlee passes the gavel as we enjoy the Tucker-Kirby closing banquet and dance the night away with Barry Herndon & The Party Nuts.
