Milwaukee® Season 6 Heated Gear delivers all day heat

Words: Katherine O'tooleMilwaukee Tool will continue to update and expand their line of M12™ Heated Gear* as they begin their 6th Season this fall. The 2015 line will include the introduction of the new M12™ Heated 3in1 Ripstop Jacket & M12™ Heated Ripstop Vest, a completely redesigned women’s jacket, improved run-time on all Heated Jackets, and a new color option for the M12™ Heated Hoodie.

Brand new this fall, the new M12™ Heated 3in1 Ripstop Jacket is the first 3in1 Jacket system that pairs a Heated Hoodie with a jobsite-tough Ripstop Shell for ultimate warmth, versatility and durability in extreme working conditions. The Heated Hoodie integrates (3) carbon fiber heating elements between a water repellant, durable shell and insulating liner to distribute and maintain heat across core body areas. The Ripstop Shell is insulated, wind and water resistant, and features premium 900 Denier Ripstop fabric, high-wear zone reinforcement, and heavy duty construction to protect from abuse on the jobsite. For maximum utility, the shell has two large hand and chest pockets, and multiple articulation points to increase mobility when working.

Utilizing the same Ripstop material for maximum durability, Milwaukee will also offer a M12™ Heated Ripstop Vest with the versatility to provide warmth and durability during fall, winter and spring months. Like the 3in1 Jacket, the Ripstop Vest is insulated, wind and water resistant, and features premium Ripstop fabric, high-wear zone reinforcement, and heavy duty construction.

“The launch of M12™ Heated Ripstop Gear demonstrates Milwaukee’s continued commitment to redefining layering on the jobsite,” says Tom Simeone, Director of Product Marketing for Milwaukee Tool. “Drawing inspiration from extensive cold weather observation, we have integrated carbon fiber heating technology with ground up garment design, rugged Ripstop material, and heavy duty construction to deliver a 3in1 Jacket and Vest that set new standards in durability and performance in extreme conditions.”

Completely redesigned from the previous model, the Milwaukee® M12™ Heated Women’s Jacket features a new cut, improved styling and optimized heating zone locations. The jacket integrates (4) carbon fiber heating elements and advanced fabric-layering technology to distribute and maintain heat across the back, collar, and pockets. Wind and water resistant, the versatile soft shell construction keeps weather out while high-loft insulation and a brushed thermal lining hold heat in to maximize warmth and reduce the number of layers needed in cold weather conditions.
In addition to new products, Milwaukee® has made multiple upgrades to increase performance and appeal of core M12™ Heated Gear products. Now sold with an M12™ REDLITHIUM 2.0 Battery, Heated Jacket kits can now provide up to 8 hours of heat for a full day of work on a single battery charge. For added utility, Heated Jackets will also feature an upgraded 2.1A USB Battery Controller fully compatible with the latest generation of popular mobile devices. With the versatility to provide warmth during fall, winter and spring months, the popular gray M12™ Heated Hoodie will transition to a darker charcoal color for 2015.

“It’s imperative that we continue to deliver best-in-class garments and technology to improve the user experience across all M12™ Heated Gear,” says Simeone. “The Jacket and Hoodie offer cold weather versatility, and we’re excited to offer more run-time and improved style options in 2015.”

On or off the jobsite, Milwaukee® M12™ Heated Gear provides all day heat on a single battery charge for use in all seasons and outdoor environments. M12™ REDLITHIUM™ Batteries are compatible with 70+ power tool solutions, from Milwaukee®.
