Midwest Regional Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competition

Words: Mike AdamsNorth Dakota Crane Certification will hold the Midwest Regional Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competition on October 11, 2014 in conjunction with the 60th Annual Minot Y’s Men’s PRCA Indoor Rodeo and the Badlands Cowboy Christmas Expo & Trade Show.

The community event at the North Dakota State Fair Grounds draws visitors from all over the Midwest, both as contestants and spectators. In 2013, the Y’s Men’s Rodeo attracted sell-out crowds two of the four nights. While cowboys provide much of the entertainment, many of those in attendance work with cranes in construction and in the oil fields. The CIC Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competition raises awareness among attendees about crane and rigging safety, and recognizes the training, certification, and experience necessary to be a crane operator.

In addition, North Dakota Crane Certification and CIC will exhibit at the Badlands Cowboy Christmas Expo & Trade Show, which features exhibitions from local businesses serving the oil and gas market as well as arts, crafts, and tack and ranch equipment.

North Dakota Crane Certification is a crane operator training and certification company providing CIC certifications, with training locations in Minot and West Fargo, N.D. They also offer training at your site and have classes to meet your schedule 24/7. NDCC also provides signalman and rigger training and qualification classes, and mobile and overhead crane inspections.
