Multiquip launches new products At ConExpo 2014

Words: Jon AlbersonMultiquip, a diverse manufacturer and supplier of world class quality products and equipment solutions, introduced multiple new products, including a compact light tower, new gasoline-powered portable generators, diesel-powered welder generators, and a GloBug LED balloon light at ConExpo 2014. The new products are in addition to the new products introduced at the 2014 World of Concrete show in January which included MQ Whiteman Finishing Solutions; MQ SlabArmor and First Polish, new submersible pumps, the GB4000 balloon light, the new green concrete saw and multiple compaction products.

LT6K Light Tower

The LT6K is a compact, mobile light tower powered by a 12 horsepower, Tier 4 Final Kohler diesel engine. The trim design enables twelve units to be loaded onto a standard 48 foot trailer. The fuel efficient engine and 31 gallon fuel tank combine to provide up to 66 hours run time. All major components are protected by rugged steel housing. An environmentally smart design features a steel tub to prevent engine fluids from contaminating the environment. Four 1,000 Watt metal halide lamps can be positioned to illuminate construction sites, industrial areas or special events. A heavy-duty telescoping mast extends to a height of 30-feet and the unit has a wind stability rating of 65 MPH.

DLW400/DAW500 Welder/Generators

Multiquip introduces two new welders powered by fuel efficient, Tier 4 Final Kubota diesel engines. The dual-weld DLW400ESA4 produces up to 400 amps for one operator and up to 200 amps of output for two welders. It also produces up to 14 kW of 120/240 volt AC power when used strictly as a generator. The DAW500SA4 produces a maximum of 500 amps DC welding power and offers a 2.4 kW of 120/240 volt AC power as a generator. Both models offer CC and CV welding capability and produce the smooth arc characteristics that have earned Multiquip its reputation for high-quality welders.

Portable Generators

Contractors trust MQ Power when it comes powering their job sites. The completely redesigned GA-Series line of portable generators builds on that reputation for quality and dependability. The GA36HR provides 3,600 Watts of maximum output and GA6HR produces 6,000 Watts of maximum output. The new models feature reliable, recoil start, Honda engines and an electric start option is available for the 6kW version. A brushless alternator design, rugged pipe frame with center lifting eye, hour meter and standard wheel-kit ensure these generators will provide power for many years.

GloBug LED Balloon Light

Multiquip continues expanding its lighting solutions with the introduction of the GB3LED balloon light. The LED light provide up to 40,000 hour service life, provides 3-stage dimming controls (100W, 200W, 300W) and offers the convenience of instant starting and re-strike. The LED technology permits 115/240V AC and 48V DC as power options. The balloon inflates to provide diffused, non-glare lighting for virtually any application. A two-stage mast is included along with a carrying case. A lightweight design of only 27 pounds simplifies transport and storage.
