Milwaukee launches new and improved M18™ compact drilling and fastening tools

Featuring improved performance, features and ergonomics, Milwaukee® will introduce two new compact drills and four new compact impact drivers/wrenches this year, all of which will begin a transition to replace existing models on the market today.

The new models will include the M18™ 1/2” Compact Drill/Driver (2606), M18™ 1/2” Compact Hammer Drill/Driver (2607), M18™ 1/4” Hex Two-Speed Compact Impact Driver (2657), M18™ 1/4” Hex Compact Impact Driver (2656), M18™ 3/8” Compact Impact Wrench (2658) and M18™ 1/2” Compact Impact Wrench (2659).

The new products are the most compact tools in their respective classes, featuring improved ergonomics2658-22 for greater accessibility into tight work areas. In addition, the tools have best-in-class power to weight ratios, delivering more power under load, more output torque, and increased speed for faster drilling and fastening.

With the durability users have come to expect from Milwaukee, the new Drill Drivers and Impacts offer advanced electronics through Milwaukee’s REDLINK™ INTELLIGENCE. This system provides advanced overload protection in abusive situations and improved temperature management to maximize tool life and protect the user’s investment.

The new M18™ ½” Compact Drill/Driver (2606) and M18™ ½” Compact Hammer Drill/Driver (2607) are also the only tools in their respective classes that feature an all-metal gear case and all-metal ratcheting chuck for impact resistance and maximum durability.

The new M18™ ¼” Hex Compact 2-Speed Impact Driver (2657) is the first tool in its class to give users the option to choose between two fastening modes for increased versatility. With Milwaukee’s proprietary 2-Mode DRIVE CONTROL™ feature, users are able to maximize productivity on the jobsite with optimized speed and power for the application at hand.
