Masonry Quality Institute to be held in North Carolina

Words: Lynn NashThe Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) "Masonry Quality Institute" two-day class will be presented Tuesday, December 6 and Wednesday, December 7, 2016 as part of the NCMCA Masonry contractor Certification Program.

Day-to-day operations leave little time to assess your policies and procedures. You want to ensure your company maintains the highest level of quality construction while earning maximum profits. How do you implement quality standards that are measurable and help increase profitability?

This program will provide you the ability to measure your company's level of quality. The Masonry Quality Institute (MQI) is a two-day course that assists masons in evaluating their services, meeting stringent customer expectations, and improving their profitability.

The course agenda will include an introduction to the quality process and detailed implementations of the basic principles of quality on the first day. On the second day, attendees will interact with the course instructors in discussing the quality process and learn strategies for team building and problem solving.

The location is McGee Brothers Company, 8221 Triad Drive, Greensboro, N.C. near
Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO).

MQI will count as two class credits for individual NCMCA certification and replaces the Module 9 and Module 10 classes usually included in the NCMCA certification class series. Module 9 and 10, or MQI is required for Certified Masonry Executive (CME) candidates. MQI is accepted as elective class credits for Certified Masonry Professional (CMP) candidates or for CME candidates who have completed Modules 9 and/or 10. Completion of MQI will also satisfy the NCMCA Certification program two-year continuing education requirement.

MQI is a requirement for MCAA certification. Mason contractors registered for the national Masonry Certification will receive 16.00 credits in the Masonry Quality Institute discipline upon completion of this course.
