The 2012 MCAA Midyear Meeting was held September 12-14, 2012 in Park City, Utah. Attendees were able to participate in fun and educational events throughout the week, while taking in the beautiful sights and activities within the resort town.

The Midyear Meeting kicked-off with the MCAA’s TEAM Awards, where eleven projects and their construction teams were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in masonry design and construction. School districts, universities, communities, and architects who have demonstrated outstanding use of masonry in their projects and incorporate masonry in their campuses, communities, and buildings were also recognized during the Vision Awards portion of the awards ceremony. Visit www.masoncontractors.org/team for more information about the MCAA’s TEAM Awards and information on each winning project.

Throughout the week attendees were able to attend numerous meetings to help shape the future of the masonry industry. Several networking round table events were also held for attendees to make new connections and share ideas about marketing, safety, project management and a variety of other topics.

Mason contractors from around the country spent a relaxing afternoon of golf on the Wasatch Mountain State Park Golf Course. All proceeds from the event support MAC PAC/PEC and will be used to help elect federal candidates to office who are pro-construction and to fight legislation negatively affecting mason contractors.

The Midyear Meeting wrapped-up on Friday evening with an incredible show by the Flying Ace All-Stars, including a memorable jump from MCAA Chairman, John Smith.
