Boral Acquires MonierLifetile

Words: Rob BeusanBoral USA, through one of its subsidiaries, has acquired sole ownership of MonierLifetile LLC from the MONIER Group, whose principal place of business is located in Germany. Boral USA is a subsidiary of Boral Limited, headquartered in Sydney, Australia, and prior to this acquisition owned a 50% interest in MonierLifetile. Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., MonierLifetile is the largest manufacturer of premium-quality concrete roof tile in the country.

This acquisition, when combined with Boral's existing U.S. tile clay roof tile business, will be part of the U.S. Boral Roofing division. Boral will be the largest manufacturer of both clay and concrete roof products in the U.S.
