Join Cook Brown Partner Carrie Bushman for an overview of 2016 updates to California's prevailing wage law. She'll focus on the new ready mix hauling requirements - including the status of court challenges to these requirements; recordkeeping requirements, including eCPR; and, new skilled and trained workforce requirements which mandate the use of apprenticeship program graduates on certain jobs. Also hear about the new law requiring contractors to pay apprentices for pre-employment processes effective January 1, 2017. Carrie is the MCAC go-to expert on prevailing wage issues and has helped clarify when the ready-mix hauler rules apply – at GC award date or sub award date and on federal jobs.
