Attendees to this session will hear from industry leaders about current challenges and opportunities of using BIM technology in cast-in-place concrete from design through construction. Attendees will first learn about ACI’s newly developed standard for the Exchange of Reinforcement Models along with application examples, followed by advice for implementing BIM and other technologies in concrete operations. The session will conclude with highlights from ACI’s two reports on BIM: "131.1R-14 Information Delivery Manual for Cast-in-Place Concrete" and "131.2R-17: Guide to Use of Industry Foundation Classes in Exchange of Reinforcement Models.”
