Brandie Schaeffer, LEED-AP, Director of Community Planning BIA MNR, will provide an introduction to Brick Industry Association’s Community Planning Program which works with local communities to pass legislation requiring buildings to be built with masonry. She will cover the establishment of the program and its components. Brandie will also provide insight into the world of a Community Planner, including details on the roles and responsibilities of elected officials and city staff throughout the planning processes. Through the use of case studies, Brandie will discuss the impacts of Masonry Planning Policies and how you can get involved in making an impact in your market. There will be time at the end for question and answer.
